By signing in and using BackTrack ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BackTrack. By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Account

You must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Free and Pro Plans

BackTrack offers a Free tier and a Pro tier. Key differences:

• Free: up to 2 text layers, 1 speaker shape, 2 saved presets, no MP4 export, no AI generation credits
• Pro: unlimited layers and presets, full MP4 export, monthly AI generation credits, priority support

Pricing is displayed at checkout and subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. AI Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; you retain Pro access until the end of the billing period. Refund requests for subscriptions within 7 days of payment may be honored at our discretion — contact us by email.

5. Your Content

All audio, video, and image files you use in BackTrack are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload, store, or access your media files. You retain full ownership of any content you create using the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access controls
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the Service
• Create accounts by automated means or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service to generate or distribute content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

7. Intellectual Property

BackTrack, its logo, and all underlying software are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or commercial content creation.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BackTrack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via our Data Deletion page.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or by updating the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
